Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 1900-0730. Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need. Two weekends per six-week schedule period (additional weekends available upon request). 20 hours of orientation provided.

• Diverse case mix including telemetry monitoring, post-surgical care, total joint replacement, renal failure, bowel obstruction, substance withdrawal, and wound care management

• Float rotation as needed based on operational requirements

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years in medical/surgical or telemetry specialty
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria (80% overall, 100% identification of lethal rhythms, no errors on 3rd-degree heart blocks)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Clinical Skills and Experience:

Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in telemetry monitoring with interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV therapy and management, central line care, blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, PCA pumps, oxygen administration, isolation precautions, and utilization of rapid response/code teams. Experience with tracheostomy care, chest tubes, feeding tube management, pre/post-operative care, and various other medical/surgical procedures is essential.
