School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Crown Point, Indiana

Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an engaging school-based contract opportunity near Crown Point, IN. Step in this fall as a substitute for an SLP on FMLA, ensuring students receive consistent and high-quality speech services from August 10th through the end of October. This position offers the flexibility of onsite or VOCO (virtual/remote) service delivery, giving you more control over your work environment.

Work with a diverse and rewarding caseload of 117 students, supported by an assigned Speech-Language Assistant (SLA). You’ll collaborate with teams across two elementary school buildings, providing interventions, evaluations, and IEP-related services to help each child achieve their communication goals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
Active IN state SLP license (or eligibility)
Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and report writing
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Comfort with technology for VOCO/remote roles, if interested

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver speech-language therapy to a group of elementary-aged students
Assess, diagnose, and document speech, language, and communication disorders
Collaborate with special education staff and families
Maintain accurate records and reports according to district guidelines
Utilize an SLA to support service delivery and efficiency
