Strategic Account Manager, Roofing - Mid-West

Summary Westlake is seeking a highly motivated and results‑driven Strategic Account Manager to drive growth for our premium roofing and building products across the assigned region. This field‑based role focuses on building strong relationships with key decision‑makers in the Homeowners Association (HOA) sector, top roofing contractors, architects, and roofing consultants. The successful candidate will promote Westlake’s innovative roofing solutions, expand market share, and generate new business opportunities to achieve regional sales targets. The territory includes MI, IN, IL, WI, IA, MN, SD, and ND. The ideal candidate will live in OH/IL/IN/WI/MN. Duties and Responsibilities Proactively call on and develop relationships with Homeowners Associations (HOAs), top‑tier roofing contractors, architects, and roofing consultants in the assigned territory. Drive overall business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities, increasing product specification and adoption, and expanding wallet share with existing accounts. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, targeted outreach, networking, and strategic account planning. Effectively present and demonstrate Westlake’s roofing systems, materials, and value propositions to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including HOAs, architects, consultants, and contractors. Monitor regional market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the roofing and HOA sectors, and provide timely feedback to the regional and national teams. Work closely with Territory Managers, internal sales, marketing, and technical support teams to ensure seamless support for customers and successful project execution. Education, Experience and Qualifications Minimum of five to seven years work experience in a related role. Bachelor’s degree required. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and be detail oriented. Enthusiastic, self‑starter with good interpersonal skills. Good presentation skills and ability to speak comfortably in front of groups. Working knowledge of MS Office suite, including Teams and Outlook 365. Experience with Salesforce. Other Requirements Job will require 70% travel on average, with multiple nights away per week and extended driving required. Insurability and a valid US state driver’s license are mandatory.
