Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and assessments to document client cases from initial consultation to completion of treatment plans.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that each plan is aligned with the client's unique needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to promote healing and personal growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention plans that support comprehensive care.

• Manage referrals to appropriate external resources when necessary, ensuring clients have access to a wide range of support services.

• Provide support to family members and primary caregivers, helping them navigate the challenges associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse population, including individuals struggling with a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Your experience will enable you to connect empathetically with clients, understanding their unique circumstances and fostering a therapeutic alliance that encourages personal development and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the NCE or NCMHCE.
\n
• At least 2 years of experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing your clinical skills and knowledge.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, for documentation and client management.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association best practices and current trends in psychotherapeutic methodologies.

• Experience working with clients presenting co-occurring disorders, including substance abuse and underlying physical health conditions.

• Demonstrable knowledge of the effects of medications commonly prescribed in mental health treatment.
