Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Rapides Healthcare System, you will:

• Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients through a secure video platform, ensuring ethical and compassionate care.

• Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to each client’s unique needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused techniques.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with clients’ specific goals, monitoring their progress and adapting plans as necessary.

• Facilitate sessions focused on helping clients gain insights into their feelings, experiences, and interpersonal relationships.

• Implement healthy coping strategies and techniques to improve clients' overall well-being and life satisfaction.

• Maintain accurate client records and document sessions in a streamlined manner, minimizing administrative burdens.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with stable, low acuity adults who present a variety of mental health needs. This demographic includes individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life adjustments. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• A current, active license to practice independently as one of the following: LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.

• No disciplinary actions or limited/provisional licenses.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in individual therapy or counseling, especially in hospice or palliative care settings, will be given preference. Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is a plus, as well as experience in addressing the mental health needs of terminally ill clients.
