Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for the following:

• Maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and adhering to the Code of Ethics of the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.
\n
• Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clinical supervisors.
\n
• Implementing treatment plans, documenting progress through detailed notes, discharge summaries, and attendance records.
\n
• Facilitating consumer groups and conducting one-on-one meetings with clients, their families, and relevant community members.
\n
• Coordinating care and advocating for consumer needs by connecting them with local resources and agencies.
\n
• Participating in staff meetings and case conferences to discuss client progression and treatment strategies.
\n
• Engaging in community outreach to establish relationships with potential referral sources, enhancing intake referrals for the outpatient program.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving clients with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and perinatal mental health. By providing tailored support and psychoeducation, you will play a vital role in fostering resilience and promoting recovery among diverse populations. Understanding and sensitivity to cultural differences are key for effectively engaging with clients from various backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field.

• A valid social work license in accordance with state regulations, such as LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW.

• Strong ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams within an outpatient mental health agency.

• Excellent communication skills, exhibiting both clarity in sharing information and empathy in listening to clients.

• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.
\n
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within an outpatient setting, especially with diverse client populations.

• Familiarity with JCAHO and Medicaid standards as well as MHRS accreditation processes.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment planning purposes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
