Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with patients to gather comprehensive information about their physical condition and symptoms, tailoring treatment plans to individual needs.
• Conducting detailed assessments to diagnose movement dysfunction and establish personalized treatment plans aimed at maximizing mobility and functionality.
• Educating patients on proper therapeutic exercise techniques, ensuring they understand how to effectively implement them during therapy sessions and at home.
• Utilizing hands-on techniques such as manual therapy, massage, and modalities to stimulate healing and enhance recovery.
• Assisting patients in the use of mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, and orthotic devices, to aid their daily living and functionality.
• Maintaining meticulous patient records, tracking progress towards rehabilitation goals, and adjusting treatment plans as needed based on patient feedback and clinical judgment.
• Providing guidance and support to patients and their families regarding in-home treatment options and exercises that can further assist in the rehabilitation process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse patient population includes individuals of all ages, ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients. You will work with patients experiencing a variety of conditions, such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain syndromes. Your role will be pivotal in enabling these individuals to regain independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy license to practice in the state of California.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective coordination with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard word processing software.
• A flexible approach and a positive attitude, contributing to a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, we value candidates who have:

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a relevant setting.
• Experience in specialized areas of physical therapy such as geriatrics, pediatrics, sports injury rehabilitation, or post-operative care.
• A record of continuing education or specialized training in physical therapy practices.
