Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements while maintaining access to our outpatient office in Galveston, Texas. Our practice operates with a dedicated team of psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff who work collectively to create a nurturing and effective treatment atmosphere. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to accurately evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, facilitating a thorough understanding of each client's condition.

• Collaboratively design individualized treatment plans that honor clients' unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals using a client-centered approach.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorder management, offering tools and strategies for self-care to enhance overall well-being.

• Continuously monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring the highest standards of care are met throughout the therapeutic process.

• Engage in collaborative treatment efforts with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses both psychological and pharmacological needs.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in mood disorder treatment, integrating the latest research findings into therapeutic practices.

• Document client interactions professionally and confidentially, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines required in mental health care.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings aimed at promoting best practices and ongoing professional development.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs, contributing to efforts that aim to destigmatize mental health challenges within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Our outpatient facility serves a wide-ranging clientele, requiring an understanding of multicultural issues and an ability to foster a trusting environment for all clients. Your expertise will play a significant role in guiding clients towards recovery and improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to connect with a diverse range of clients.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred, candidates with demonstrated success in effective psychotherapeutic interventions are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits\n
