Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs.

• Provide individual and family therapy, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's unique needs and circumstances.

• Prepare and submit billing documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms promptly and accurately.

• Develop and implement crisis plans, safety plans when necessary, relapse prevention plans, and wellness strategies to help clients maintain stability.

• Create detailed discharge plans that facilitate a smooth transition for patients as they conclude their therapeutic journey.

• Adhere to all relevant federal and state laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
\n
• Keep professional skills current through training, continuing education opportunities, and case consultation participation.
\n
• Engage in agency meetings to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a collective understanding of patient needs and organizational goals.

• Complete all requirements for licensure and mandatory training, ensuring compliance and maintaining your professional standing.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on diverse populations within the Galveston community and surrounding areas. You will be assisting clients dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their mental health needs and work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field is required.

• Licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) in the State of Texas is essential.
