Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and mental health evaluations for new clients to ascertain their needs and objectives.

• Document the trajectory of each case from the first consultation through to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring compliance with therapeutic standards and regulations.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that consider individual, couple, and family dynamics, along with evidence-based intervention strategies.
\n
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, discussion, and recovery, encouraging active participation from clients.

• Monitor client progress continuously throughout the course of treatment and adjust plans accordingly to enhance outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Engage in coordinated care efforts for clients requiring hospital admission, ensuring seamless communication with attending physicians and psychiatrists.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery, providing insights and strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding mental health issues and employing effective coping strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counseling services cater to a diverse client base, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship challenges. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Journey Recovery, you will be at the forefront of client care, utilizing your expertise to understand deeply rooted issues and deliver effective therapeutic interventions that guide patients toward improved mental health and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in Texas as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrable clinical insight backed by experience as a mental health counselor.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for managing patient data and documentation.

• A thorough understanding of the interplay between physical health, emotional health, and behavioral health, including experience in addiction disorders.

• An ability to adhere to ethical guidelines and best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal capabilities and a genuine empathetic nature.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary in the range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, along with a generous sign-on bonus for successful candidates.
