Work EnvironmentKey Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to identify their mental health needs, followed by the development of personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.

• Provide therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, and families using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-based approaches.

• Create a nurturing therapeutic alliance that empowers clients to set and achieve their mental health goals, while tracking their progress over time.

• Maintain meticulous records of client interactions and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations.

• Participate in regular supervision and professional development sessions to stay updated with the latest research and best practices in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counselor will work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a range of mental health challenges. Clients may present with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling or a related field is required.

• Current active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in Vermont.
