Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at St. Charles Counseling Services, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting patient intakes that include comprehensive diagnostic and functional evaluations to inform treatment recommendations.

• Advising healthcare colleagues on the suitability of patients for primary care versus specialty mental health services.

• Following up with patients to monitor their progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring continued engagement in their therapeutic process.

• Developing and implementing relapse prevention plans and educating patients on self-management strategies to promote stable functioning.

• Documenting patient progress meticulously and maintaining accurate treatment charts, ensuring compliance with agency standards and guidelines.

• Facilitating healthy lifestyle changes for patients with physical disorders, using counseling techniques that promote positive behavioral change.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in New Jersey.

• Proficiency in mental health assessment, treatment planning, and the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria.

• Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques, particularly in family therapy, group therapy, and child psychotherapy.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 – 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
