Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to understand individual client needs and history.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans for clients, which may include individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing best practices in psychotherapy and counseling methodologies.

• Continuously monitor client progress to adapt treatment goals and strategies effectively, ensuring optimal outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, and other mental health professionals, to develop cohesive care plans.

• Assist clients in navigating referrals for additional services as necessary, promoting holistic health solutions.

• Engage in ongoing communication with clients to provide updates and maintain a strong rapport throughout their treatment journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counseling services at Medina Counseling Center focus on diverse populations, addressing a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. You will work with clients from various backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges that require your expert guidance.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.
\n
• Successful completion of relevant examinations, including the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n
• Strong understanding of electronic health record systems, with experience in AVATAR considered an asset.
\n
• Exceptional clinical assessment skills and familiarity with managing mental health challenges across populations.
\n
• Proficient in developing recovery-oriented approaches that engage clients effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably in a telehealth setting.

• Knowledge of substance abuse and addiction disorders, with experience in integrating treatment across both mental and physical health domains.

• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Understanding of psychotropic medication effects and their use in client treatment.
\n
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
