Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite in the Long Beach area, with an operational schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Working in home care provides a unique opportunity to engage with patients in their own environments, allowing for a greater understanding of their challenges and enabling more personalized treatment approaches. You will collaborate with team members in a dynamic atmosphere characterized by a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to gather detailed information on patients' current conditions, medical histories, functional limitations, and personal health goals.
• Develop individualized plans of care that reflect patients' needs and objectives, ensuring that every patient understands their treatment pathway and can confidently commit to the plan.
• Utilize evidence-based practices, including manual therapy techniques, progressive exercise prescription, and patient education, to facilitate effective treatment.
• Regularly monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all services rendered and patient interactions to ensure compliance with clinical standards and organizational protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients who require orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions affecting mobility. A deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by this population is essential for tailoring effective and empathetic care. You'll play a critical role in guiding patients through their recovery journey, fostering a strong sense of trust and collaboration.

Qualifications

• A Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of California.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in orthopedic physical rehabilitation.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop and implement effective exercise regimens.

Preferred Experience

While three years of experience is required, candidates with advanced certifications in specialized manual therapy techniques or experience with specific patient demographics may be given preference. A history of success in a similar home care environment would also be advantageous, as understanding the complexities of providing care outside of a traditional clinical setting is vital.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, alongside a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional development.
