Account Manager – Outside Sales | Atlanta, GA
Base Salary Plus Commission
Echelon Supply and Service is seeking an Account Manager to support and grow our customer base in the Atlanta, GA area. This role is responsible for building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing solutions for industrial and hydraulic hose, fittings, and related products. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable spending the majority of their time in the field meeting with customers and prospects.
Responsibilities
Develop and grow sales within an assigned territory through regular customer visits, prospecting, and follow-up.
Build strong relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities to expand product and service offerings.
Generate new business by targeting prospective customers and developing a strong sales pipeline.
Prepare quotes, follow up on open opportunities, and work with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met.
Partner with branch, operations, and customer service teams to resolve customer issues and support timely order fulfillment.
Maintain accurate records of customer activity, opportunities, and pipeline updates in company systems.
Stay informed on market activity, customer needs, and competitor offerings within the territory.
Qualifications
Prior outside sales or account management experience preferred.
Experience in industrial distribution, hydraulic hose, fittings, MRO, manufacturing, construction, or a related field is a plus.
Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory and work independently.
Comfortable prospecting, cold calling, and developing new business.
Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate sales activity records.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
