The Bellflower Mental Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Mental Health Counselor to serve in a remote capacity based in Elk Grove, California. This full-time position involves working closely with youth and their families who are navigating serious mental health challenges. As a key member of our intensive multi-disciplinary treatment team, you will provide essential therapeutic services, crisis intervention, and emotional support. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and implementing treatment plans that foster healing and resilience.

This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing for flexibility in how and where you work while maintaining a strong connection with your team and clients. Although interactions primarily occur through digital platforms, you may also conduct in-person sessions in community settings such as schools and homes when necessary. This setup is particularly conducive to a balanced work-life dynamic, minimizing the stress of commuting while offering opportunities to engage directly with clients in their own environments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children, youth, and families experiencing mental health challenges.

• Deliver individualized therapy as well as family and group therapy across a variety of settings, including community locations, residences, schools, and clinics.
\n
• Serve as the primary liaison for service plans, ensuring you communicate effectively and clearly with clients, families, and team members, both verbally and in writing.
\n
• Provide 24/7 on-call crisis support and intervention as part of a weekly rotation, ensuring that clients receive timely assistance when needed.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on youth facing serious mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, and behavioral challenges. Many of the clients and families you will work with may require intensive support as they navigate complex emotional and situational challenges. You will play a crucial role in helping them develop coping strategies and improve their overall mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
\n
• Must obtain and maintain a valid State license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
\n
• In-depth understanding of mental health services, advocacy skills, and familiarity with administrative procedures, including insurance and payment processes.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and compliance with agency driving standards.
\n
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure must be established by the time of hire.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in crisis management and de-escalation techniques.
\n
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Training is highly regarded, though not mandatory as training will be provided.

• A demonstrated ability to provide culturally competent care and develop rapport with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary range of USD 115,000 – 130,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
