Practical Solutions Counseling is seeking a passionate and dedicated Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work hours, although you will occasionally work in our outpatient office setting. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, both in-home and at our outpatient facility, focusing on emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods to address anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development, while actively reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.

• Assist youth and their caretakers in developing effective decision-making skills aimed at managing behavioral challenges in home environments.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team, ensuring consistent communication and teamwork in supporting each child's unique needs.
\n
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to comply with organizational and state regulations.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing insights and recommendations to enhance therapy outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of your practice will be on pediatric clients with developmental and intellectual disabilities. These exceptional youth often face unique challenges, and your work will be instrumental in helping them develop the skills necessary for success. You will create therapeutic plans tailored to each child's needs, ensuring that interventions are culturally, age-appropriate, and evidence-based.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM); weekend flexibility is an advantage.

• A valid driver's license and reliable registered vehicle to facilitate client transportation as necessary.
\n
• A clean criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support and working with youth aged 3-20.

• Background in therapy for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
