Complete and Wellness Mind Care P.C. is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote community health clinic team in San Jose, California. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide in-home and community-based therapeutic services to children and families, particularly those with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges.

Work Environment\n

This role allows for flexible remote work, making it easier to coordinate support that meets the needs of our diverse clientele. You will primarily be providing therapeutic services directly to families in their homes or utilizing our outpatient center. Collaboration with a supportive Child Family Treatment Team ensures a multidisciplinary approach that enhances our services.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or group therapy at our outpatient center to address clients' mental health needs.

• Develop and implement effective treatment plans that focus on areas such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Work to reduce high-risk behaviors including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression by employing evidenced-based strategies.
\n
• Enhance decision-making skills for youth and caregivers to manage in-home behavioral challenges effectively.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatment progress including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within designated timeframes.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings and offer insights and recommendations that could improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position is specifically designed to support a diverse group of children aged 3-20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our client population reflects a wide variety of background, needs, and cultural contexts, allowing for a dynamic and enriching professional experience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• Active and unrestricted LMFT license in California.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with some weekend flexibility.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client homes.
\n
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), is strongly preferred.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and intervention techniques.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer:
