Work Environment\n

This position offers the convenience of a remote work setting, allowing you to engage directly with clients while benefiting from a flexible schedule. As a full-time employee, you will work Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Trauma-Informed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and establish tailored treatment plans.

• Employ advanced therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patients' recovery processes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a cohesive treatment experience for clients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional support.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and available coping strategies, empowering them with knowledge for better outcomes.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring legal and ethical compliance.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations and team meetings focused on best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to enhance your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by trauma, including those grappling with PTSD, dissociative disorders, and other trauma-related conditions. The patients you will work with come from diverse backgrounds and various life experiences, and your role will involve understanding their unique needs and challenges. You will foster a safe space where clients feel heard and supported as they navigate their recovery.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• A foundational knowledge of trauma-informed treatment principles and a genuine passion for helping trauma survivors.

• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to conceptualize treatment approaches effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health therapy, preferably with a focus on trauma.

Compensation and Benefits\n
