Account Director

Role Description The Account Director manages the full sales cycle for assigned accounts, including prospecting, developing proposals, presenting design solutions, and closing opportunities while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The Account Director collaborates closely with showroom, sales, and project teams to coordinate timelines, deliverables, and product selections, ensuring projects stay on track and aligned with client expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading account reviews, monitoring sales performance, resolving client issues, and identifying opportunities for growth with existing and new clients. The role also involves supporting process improvements and representing Hermitage’s values of integrity and quality service. The Account Director will report directly to the VP of Sales. The Account Director is responsible for developing relationships with National Accounts. Hermitage National Accounts is partnered with some of the largest multi-unit corporations across the country. The Account Director will serve as a resource to our customers. Our goal is to deliver lighting consultative services that both lowers our client’s costs and increases their revenue while helping them achieve the specific look envisioned for their brand. Essential Functions Grow your business through systematic relationship development. Serve as an ambassador of Hermitage Lighting National Accounts. Deliver First-Class customer service acting with integrity. Work in a team environment while being able to take and give direction. Lead inside team and help develop their skills through positive motivation. Obtain company goals Complete 50 calls on a weekly basis. Provide accurate biweekly reporting on progress of your calls. Present a sales presentation to prospects Develop a list of 50 prospects Attend sales meetings and conventions Continue to educate yourself through courses, factory visits, and/or certifications Lighting experience preferred, but not required. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Account Management and Sales skills with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships, meeting revenue goals, and driving repeat business. Candidates should possess Project Management skills to coordinate timelines, deliverables, and resources across multiple client projects while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, internal teams, and vendor partners. Experience in lighting, interior design, home improvement, or a related retail or B2B environment is highly beneficial. Strong analytical and organizational abilities, including use of CRM or account management tools to track activities, opportunities, and outcomes. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, design, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and acting with integrity in all client and team interactions.
