Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist in a K-12 educational setting near Lexington Park. This position offers the chance to work part-time with a diverse caseload, empowering young learners to achieve their greatest mobility and function. With a welcoming community atmosphere, you'll collaborate with educators and families to make a lasting, positive impact. The assignment begins August 10th, 2026, and continues through June 17th, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Maryland Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Experience in school-based PT or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred
- Passion for helping children and adolescents of all abilities
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary educational team
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to K–12 students according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective strategies that improve student mobility and participation
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and document progress
- Develop goals tailored to each student and regularly evaluate their outcomes
- Maintain thorough, timely records and comply with all district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to case review discussions
