Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant : Keller Rohrback L.L.P., a Pacific Northwest based, nationally recognized law firm, is seeking to add a litigation legal assistant with 5+ years of experience to join its commercial litigation team focused in Washington State courts. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of legal concepts, legal terminology, and legal processes. This position will support two attorneys and work collaboratively with their paralegal to manage cases. We are looking for someone who is very straightforward by nature, an exceptional proofreader, positive and proactive, and appreciates the challenging work of litigation. Qualified candidates must possess: Exemplary communication skills and ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues, co-counsel, and clients. Strong knowledge of legal concepts, legal terminology, and legal processes. Fanatical proof-reading and editing skills, and a keen eye for the details. The skillset of a personal assistant, acting as the right hand for support, especially in monitoring calendars and keeping attorneys apprised of approaching deadlines Ability to effectively respond to urgent situations that require a quick response or turnaround. Strong organization and time-management skills. Sound problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability as an independent thinker and self-starter, and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities include the following: Case management, management of court filings including preparation of pleadings for e-filing in various courts state-wide. Finalizing documents, with an eye for project management to ensure deadlines are met. Managing incoming emails, mail, voicemails, calendared appointments, and communication with internal and external individuals Attorney calendaring and docketing. Assist with maintaining client files, handling copy projects and organizing records. Making travel arrangements. Assisting others as needed.
