Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Brooklyn, which is equipped with cutting-edge tools and resources to deliver high-quality physical therapy. Our clinic offers a collaborative environment where therapists work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care. You will have a flexible work schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance in the vibrant Brooklyn community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical condition, medical history, and treatment goals to establish individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercise programs, and use of specialized equipment to improve patients' physical function.
• Continuously monitor and document patients' progress and outcomes, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their responses.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and integrated patient care.
• Instruct patients and their families on exercises and rehabilitation techniques to facilitate at-home care and mobility.
• Maintain professional development by attending workshops, engaging in peer networking, and staying current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from a variety of orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Your compassionate approach and individualized treatment strategies will empower patients to regain their independence and improve their quality of life. Whether treating younger athletes or older adults, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals navigate their rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state physical therapy license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and educate patients.
• Proficiency in documentation and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting.
• Experience in home health care is a plus but not required.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and a willingness to learn new techniques and treatment options.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
