This position is remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our standard operating hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the unique emotional and psychological needs of elderly patients.

• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate individualized treatment plans that consider cognitive changes, physical health restrictions, and social dynamics affecting patients.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions including one-on-one and family therapy, utilizing techniques proven effective for geriatric mental health disorders.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, integrating feedback from various healthcare providers.

• Be prepared to offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies that may arise within the elderly demographic.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatments, coping strategies, and community resources to enhance overall health literacy.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on the geriatric population, dealing with a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and challenges associated with aging. You will be integral in enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals, providing them with the necessary tools and support to manage their mental health effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Active and valid credentials as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Psychologist in California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working in mental health, particularly with the elderly population, is preferred.

• Demonstrable knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience conducting individual and family therapy specifically with older adults.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by a patient-centered and empathetic approach.

• Adept at utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology.

• Maturity and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges between $115,000 and $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
