Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions either virtually or in-person at clients’ homes, fostering a comfortable and supportive environment.

• Implement specialized therapy techniques focused on anger management, coping strategies, and the development of social skills to address high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious acts and aggression.

• Develop and enhance decision-making abilities among both adolescents and caregivers, targeting behavioral challenges within home settings.

• Collaborate effectively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to create an integrated treatment plan that best serves each child's unique needs.

• Ensure meticulous documentation of all treatment activities, including intake assessments, personalized treatment plans, and progress notes adhered to professional and regulatory standards.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations geared towards improving service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents aged 3-20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our therapists support diverse cultural backgrounds, and proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly advantageous. By meeting clients where they are, both geographically and emotionally, we ensure they receive the highest quality of care tailored to their individual needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Possession of a valid and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, specifically during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with weekend flexibility considered a plus.

• Experience in providing positive behavioral support strategies.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for home visits.
\n
• Must pass a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
