Work Environment

Our facility in Appomattox is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation resources and a collaborative atmosphere that fosters professional development. Our onsite setting enhances team communication and allows us to provide immediate and comprehensive support to each patient. In this role, you will work primarily Monday through Friday, within a structured 40-hour week, promoting a well-balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement tailored treatment programs for patients referred by physicians, focusing on optimizing recovery and functional outcomes.
• Utilize various treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques, aligning with the physician's plan of care to positively affect patient conditions.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and guidance on therapeutic interventions and home exercise programs.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient progress and treatment strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company protocols.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service throughout the therapeutic process, fostering a supportive and empowering environment for healing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance overall patient outcomes, employing evidence-based practices and innovative treatment approaches.
• Meet or exceed utilization goals and other performance metrics, contributing to the overall success of the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a diverse patient demographic, including individuals with orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports-related injuries. Our commitment to personalized care ensures that each patient receives interventions designed specifically for their unique needs, thus enhancing their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license for physical therapy practice in Virginia.
• At least two years of experience as a physical therapist, specifically in an orthopedic or similar rehabilitation setting.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in utilizing healthcare software for documentation and scheduling tasks.
• A caring approach to developing strong relationships with patients and a proactive attitude toward their rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering treatment interventions across a variety of specialties, including sports medicine and neurology.
• Demonstrated efficiency in case management and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Participation in community outreach programs to promote physical therapy and overall wellness.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 yearly , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
