Work Environment

Located in the heart of Appomattox, VA, our Rehabilitation Center provides a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere where patient care is paramount. Expect a standard Monday-to-Friday work schedule with 40 hours per week committed to patient care and organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to create individualized treatment plans tailored to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions for diverse patient cases, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine populations.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic modalities, exercises, and education strategies that align with the patient's plan of care and rehabilitation goals.
• Provide mentorship and supervision where necessary, ensuring all team members contribute positively to patient care and organizational objectives.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and meet minimum utilization goals while ensuring high standards of patient care.
• Engage with caregivers and family members to educate them about patient progress and assist them in supporting the rehabilitation process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a wide range of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. The clinical focus includes but isn't limited to orthopedic injuries, pediatric developmental challenges, neurologic conditions, and sports-related rehabilitation. Your role will involve building authentic relationships with these patients, fostering trust, and encouraging them as they work towards exceeding their functional goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the State of Virginia is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficient in computer literacy, including document preparation and patient care management systems.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, allowing you to demonstrate your capability in crafting effective treatment plans and interventions. Having a strong background in evidence-based practices is a bonus as you enhance your clinical acumen across varying patient demographics.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, complemented by a robust benefits package.
