Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Down East Care Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess patient needs and capabilities, setting tailored treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians.
• Implementing a variety of therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education, ensuring alignment with each patient's rehabilitation goals.
• Providing treatment to a diverse patient demographic, specializing in orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases, catering to each individual's unique backgrounds and health challenges.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a welcoming environment that encourages patient engagement and adherence to treatment plans.
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to maximize patient outcomes through shared insights and evidence-based practices.
• Documenting patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary in accordance with established health guidelines and physician directives.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited institution.
• Current state license in Physical Therapy, with a commitment to maintaining professional certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with their Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and advanced skills in specific therapeutic techniques or modalities relevant to our patient population will be given preferred consideration. Compensation and Benefits
