Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews and thorough mental health assessments from the initial consultation through ongoing treatment, ensuring comprehensive records and progress notes.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health using established diagnostic frameworks, ensuring that assessments reflect the client's individual needs.
\n
• Design and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans suitable for individuals, couples, families, and groups, promoting effective therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities that resonate with diverse client populations.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progress throughout treatment plans, employing consistent evaluation to adapt interventions as required for optimal client outcomes.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including other mental health specialists, medical professionals, and social workers—to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Conduct regular follow-ups with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who require hospital admission to ensure continuity of care.

• Identify and proactively address factors that may impede recovery, employing problem-solving skills to facilitate client growth.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele consists of individuals from various backgrounds and demographics, facing challenges ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, to relationship issues and substance use disorders. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in navigating these complex issues, employing empathy and professional expertise to guide clients toward improved mental health and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California is a must.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, ideally within a community health setting.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document and manage client information securely.
\n
• Thorough understanding of the interplay between physical health issues, emotional well-being, and addiction disorders

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic practices and familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
