Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess the emotional and psychological needs of clients.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions via secured telehealth platforms, engaging clients through various therapeutic techniques.

• Document all aspects of counseling sessions in detail, from initial consultations to ongoing treatment progress, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Monitor client progress throughout therapeutic interventions and adapt plans as necessary based on client responses and needs.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to create comprehensive treatment strategies.

• Implement preventative measures addressing behaviors that may impede recovery, while providing guidance to family members and caregivers.

• Stay informed on the latest developments in mental health practices, ensuring your approach aligns with current best practices and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Our center embraces a client-centered philosophy, and as a counselor, you will guide clients in exploring their life's difficulties, empowering them to develop effective coping strategies for long-term mental health improvement.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Pennsylvania.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients.

• Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for managing client information and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor working in a telehealth setting preferred.

• Awareness of the impact of physical health conditions and addiction disorders on mental health.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
