Position Overview

Fine Spine Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

This position is onsite, predominantly in the homes of clients located in the West McLean area. You will work under the guidance of experienced team leaders and within an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, ensuring clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function according to individualized care plans.
• Supervise and support Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing treatment protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ functional abilities through various diagnostic tests, tailoring therapy plans to their specific needs.
• Assess clients' home environments and recommend modifications to enhance their independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic exercises and other treatments, including traction and massage, while instructing clients in proper techniques.
• Evaluate, fit, and recommend adjustments for prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians as necessary.
• Document comprehensive clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, maintaining compliance with OASIS regulations.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during case conferences, engaging in discussions about treatment plans and outcomes.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding physical therapy devices and the overall care program.
• Ensure timely submission of all required documentation, clinical orders, and payroll records according to company policies.
• Participate in continuous education and training initiatives to stay updated with latest physical therapy practices and regulations.
• Be readily accessible for the Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatments to ensure safety and efficacy.
• Complete additional assignments as directed to help achieve organizational objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client population, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or requiring post-acute care. Our focus is on holistic healing, and you will be instrumental in not just addressing physical issues, but also enhancing our clients’ quality of life, helping them achieve their personal health goals in their comfort of their homes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is preferred, however a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is acceptable.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in home care or acute care settings.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with no disciplinary actions.
• Current CPR certification.
• A passion for patient care, demonstrating clinical excellence and integrity.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire clients and their families.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to learning and professional development.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home healthcare settings, particularly working with geriatric populations.
• Familiarity with local community resources for rehabilitation and patient support.
• Proficiency with healthcare regulations and standards specific to home care.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
