Work Environment

Located in the heart of Las Vegas, our surgical center offers a modern and well-equipped facility designed for clinical excellence and patient comfort. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured yet rewarding work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and document detailed medical histories for a varied patient demographic.
• Collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological conditions, employing evidence-based practices.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including suturing and tissue biopsies, ensuring patient comfort and adherence to safety protocols.
• Educate patients on best skincare practices and preventative measures against skin diseases, enhancing patient engagement and health literacy.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment regimens, utilizing functionalities within our electronic medical records (EMR) system to track patient progress.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, leveraging data to inform diagnosis and treatment plans effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves treating medical dermatology patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric individuals. By addressing various skin concerns—ranging from acne and eczema to more complex dermatologic issues—you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of your patients.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physician Assistant certification is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working as a Physician Assistant is essential, with a strong preference for individuals with dermatology experience.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with at least 2 years of experience.
• Ability to complete a comprehensive training program with the supervising dermatologist, typically from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Thursday, after which hours may adjust based on practice needs.
• A commitment to providing high-quality patient care, with the capability to treat a diverse patient population.

Preferred Experience

While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a dermatology setting or those who demonstrate exceptional skills in managing skin-related health issues. Familiarity with dermatologic procedures and treatments will be an advantage in this role.
