Work Environment

This role is located onsite at our surgical center in North Las Vegas, a facility designed to cater specifically to dermatological procedures and treatments. As part of a cohesive and supportive team, you will engage directly with patients in a setting that promotes collaboration among healthcare professionals, including a supervising board-certified dermatologist. Your workspace will have state-of-the-art medical equipment and resources to ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care under the supervision of a certified dermatologist, ensuring adherence to the organization’s clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and coordinate patient treatment plans, conducting follow-ups to assess the effectiveness of dermatological therapies.
• Document patient care activities meticulously, maintaining high standards for clinical quality and compliance as per medical record-keeping protocols.
• Educate and counsel patients about dermatological conditions and treatments, promoting proactive wellness and health maintenance strategies.
• Support physician effectiveness by identifying patient care issues, participating in strategy discussions, and executing physician directives for optimal outcomes.
• Uphold safety protocols within the clinic, including strict adherence to infection control policies to safeguard both patients and staff.
• Engage in administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and care coordination to enhance overall patient flow and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner education.
• Current board certification and an unrestricted state license to practice as a PA or NP in Nevada.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in dermatology or a related specialty is strongly preferred.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills are essential for effective collaboration within our healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated proficiency in dermatological procedures and interventions. Experience with EMR software specifically used in dermatology settings is advantageous, as well as familiarity with treatment regimens for both common and complex skin conditions.

Compensation and Benefits
