Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive medical evaluations and pain assessments to identify the underlying causes of patients' pain, considering various physical, psychological, and social factors.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, which may incorporate a combination of medical, pharmaceutical, interventional, and alternative approaches tailored to patients' needs.
• Deliver ongoing care and support to patients with chronic pain conditions, focusing on improving daily function, alleviating pain intensity, and enhancing their overall quality of life.
• Address acute pain resulting from conditions such as injuries or surgeries by employing evidence-based practices to minimize suffering and facilitate healing.
• Prescribe and manage pain relief medications while taking into account the potential risks, benefits, and individual patient preferences, monitoring for both effectiveness and side effects.
• Perform interventional procedures, including nerve blocks and epidural injections, to help manage and alleviate pain effectively.
• Educate patients on pain management techniques, including self-care methods and lifestyle adjustments, empowering them to engage actively in their treatment.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up recommendations to ensure high-quality care continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits
