Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while also engaging in some in-person sessions at our outpatient office. Your primary hours will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, ensuring a structured and predictable workflow.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate seniors' specific needs and challenges, guiding the implementation of personalized treatment plans.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to assist clients in navigating the complexities of aging and transitional phases in their lives.

• Collaborate closely with a network of healthcare professionals, including physicians and nursing staff, to create comprehensive and holistic care plans for our senior clientele.

• Educate families and other caregivers on approaches to enhance the emotional well-being of older adults, providing resources for effective support.

• Deliver targeted grief and loss counseling to clients and their families, helping them cope with the emotional aftermath of end-of-life issues.

• Implement cognitive stimulation programs to enhance mental acuity in elderly clients, integrating self-care techniques within therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on senior clients experiencing a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, grief, and cognitive decline. The role will require an empathetic approach and a deep understanding of the cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds of diverse elderly populations. It is imperative to prioritize the client’s dignity and autonomy in therapy, aligning your methods with their life experiences.
