Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as an LMFT, you will:

• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, focusing on the unique needs and dynamics of each family system.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to assist clients in addressing a range of issues, including marital conflicts, grief and loss, and life transitions such as divorce.

• Conduct thorough assessments to develop personalized treatment plans that align with the clients' goals and desired outcomes.

• Engage in ongoing evaluations and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal client progress.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support and coordinated care, particularly in handling complex cases involving co-occurring disorders.

• Document therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory policies while maintaining confidentiality.

• Participate in professional development activities, including case consultations, supervision, and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, you must possess the following credentials:

• A current and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of Virginia.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a therapeutic setting, with a focus on family therapy.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse client base.
\n
• Proficiency in telehealth technologies and electronic health record management.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, experience in specialized areas such as trauma-informed therapy, child and adolescent therapy, or substance abuse counseling would be advantageous. A history of successful treatment outcomes with a diverse clientele will also be favorably regarded.
