Work Environment

This is an onsite position within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, which is conveniently situated in the picturesque city of Winchester, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' conditions, establishing a comprehensive understanding of their functional limitations and health statuses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and physician orders, incorporating therapeutic interventions designed to promote recovery tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Utilize clinical expertise to apply a variety of treatment modalities, continually assessing their efficacy, and making necessary adjustments to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with professional and legal standards.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support staff, leading team discussions on best practices in patient care and productivity standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to devise and modify intervention strategies, ensuring holistic and comprehensive care for each patient.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of departmental policies and procedures, contributing innovative ideas to enhance workflow and patient care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Peak Performance Physical Therapy, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from post-surgical individuals to those with chronic pain or neuromuscular conditions. Your role will extend to caring for patients at various stages of life, thus requiring a nuanced understanding of the physiological and psychological needs of individuals, tailored to different ages and developmental stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems and comfortable utilizing technology in patient care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably within a rehabilitation or outpatient clinic.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage patient caseloads and coordinate care among interdisciplinary teams.
• Experience in developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation programs is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
