Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions, creating tailored treatment plans that address their specific therapeutic goals.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and modalities to alleviate pain and improve patient mobility.
• Continuously monitor patient progress by documenting treatment efficacy and responses, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, including communicating with other healthcare providers regarding patient status and therapy goals.
• Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for safe movement, as well as the use and benefits of assistive devices when necessary.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of physical therapy.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.

• A strong commitment to patient care with a focus on evidence-based practice.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly in rehabilitation or home health therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
