The Rockwell Wellness Clinic is seeking dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our dynamic team in Hartford, Connecticut. As a remote full-time therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families throughout the state. This role focuses on providing Intensive In-Community therapeutic services for children facing Developmental Disabilities and intellectual challenges, with a particular need for professionals who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese.

Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows for a primarily remote work environment, with the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions in our outpatient office or in clients' homes. You will work closely with a supportive Child Family Treatment Team and have ongoing access to professional development resources. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions both in a remote setting and within the outpatient office as needed, ensuring a personalized approach to each child's emotional and mental well-being.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic practices to address and reduce high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior and physical aggression, while promoting anger management and coping skills.

• Support caretakers in improving their decision-making skills and strategies for managing in-home behavioral challenges, thereby enhancing the overall family dynamic.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team, including psychologists and social workers, to develop and adjust treatment plans that cater to the specific needs of the children and their families.

• Effectively manage and submit documentation related to intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes within specified deadlines, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Attend monthly team meetings to discuss case progress, share insights, and provide recommendations for ongoing treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be providing therapeutic services to a diverse population of children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are facing significant emotional and behavioral challenges. Many have developmental and intellectual disabilities that require specialized and compassionate understanding from their therapists. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the mental health of these children, guiding them toward healthier coping mechanisms and improved social skills in various settings.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is mandatory.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this position.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 PM; flexibility on weekends is highly valued.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support is required to effectively manage and transform challenging behaviors.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will be considered a strong asset.

• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle are necessary for travel between client homes and the outpatient office.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required for employment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
