Accounts Payable Clerk

Position Summary The AP Clerk will report directly to the Controller and will play a key role in the company’s day-to-day accounting function. This position will focus heavily on processing the full cycle of AP from receiving the invoices, coding the invoices and pay vendors, while also supporting general accounting responsibilities common to a AP Clerk role. This is a full-time, in-office position. After proficiency, reliability, and independence are demonstrated, the position may be eligible to move to a hybrid schedule. Key Responsibilities Core Accounts Payable Tasks -Manage the full workflow of vendor invoicing

• Record invoices into the accounting system and code them with accuracy
• Process the pay cycle and make payments to vendors via check or ACH
• Manage the credit card process which includes reconciling the monthly statements
• Reconcile Vendor statements
• Assist with month end close reporting related to Accounts Payable
• Assist with additional accounts payable reporting requests as needed

Accounting Department Related Tasks -Assist with Sales Tax filings -Assist the Customer Care department with creating Contracts and Change Orders Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred. Two years of professional working experience in Accounting related to accounts payable required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Comfortable discussing payments with vendors. Ability to reconcile accounts, research discrepancies, and see issues through to resolution. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information responsibly. Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment. Preferred Experience Experience in a technology, managed services, telecommunications, construction, project-based, or service business environment. Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, PSA systems, or CRM platforms. Familiarity with customer billing, recurring revenue, project billing, and collections processes. Work Schedule Full-time position. In-office schedule required until proficiency is demonstrated. Hybrid schedule may be considered after the employee has demonstrated strong performance, reliability, and independence.
