The role of Mental Health Counselor is entirely remote, allowing you to conduct sessions from the comfort of your home while providing essential mental health services through our advanced telehealth platform. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and document client histories from the initial consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The ability to connect empathetically with clients from different backgrounds and with unique experiences is crucial for successful interventions. Our telehealth services emphasize accessibility, providing support to those who may have limited access to traditional in-person counseling.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and collaboration with team members.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine disposition are key to building trusting relationships with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, with a track record of effective client outcomes.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with treatment approaches for co-occurring physical and behavioral health conditions, as well as substance use disorders.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and treatment modalities.

• In-depth understanding of the effects of psychotropic medications and the ability to interpret medication plans as part of overall client care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
