Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to establish the needs and strengths of children and adolescents, employing structured interviews and standardized assessment tools.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect developmental considerations and family dynamics, adjusting strategies as necessary based on patient progress.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to effectively address mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with strategies that foster a supportive home environment.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists, educators, and pediatricians to ensure comprehensive and coherent care plans, attending case consultations to discuss patient progress and treatment modifications.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and safety planning as needed.

• Educate patients and their families regarding their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources for additional support.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal regulations and organizational policies, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings, professional development trainings, and peer consultations to remain updated on clinical best practices and advancements in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and behavioral disturbances. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Strong theoretical knowledge of child and adolescent development and behavior.

• Skillful in conducting individual and family therapy sessions with a deep sense of compassion and understanding.

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms for patient management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, crucial for rapport-building with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in providing therapy to children and adolescents is preferred.

• Expertise in specific therapeutic approaches such as Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other relevant modalities will be an advantage.

• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, contingent on experience and qualifications.
