Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate each student's mental health status, identifying strengths, challenges, and needs.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to the needs of the student population.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, school staff, and other mental health professionals to develop and implement coordinated care plans for students.

• Assist students and their families in understanding mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and available support services.

• Facilitate psychoeducation sessions that empower students and families, helping them navigate the complexities of mental health and fostering coping strategies.

• Participate actively in developing treatment plans that incorporate student goals and preferences, ensuring that the approach is student-centered and culturally responsive.

• Advocate for the rights and needs of students, helping them access necessary resources and support systems.

• Facilitate therapeutic groups, discharge planning meetings, and community outreach initiatives to address broader mental health challenges within the school.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will primarily be on students within educational settings, addressing a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues that affect their academic and social development. This includes, but is not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related issues. By providing dedicated support, you will help create a safe and nurturing environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington.

Compensation and Benefits\n
