Work Environment\n

The work setting at Union Counseling Center is predominantly remote, offering flexibility while maintaining a supportive and communicative atmosphere. Our therapists collaborate via virtual meetings, ensuring that all team members are engaged in a shared mission to enhance patient outcomes. Regular in-office team meetings will also be scheduled to promote collaboration and team bonding. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for new patients, enabling you to develop tailored treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals.

• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and others, while working with individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups aimed at addressing common mental health issues and creating a strong sense of community among participants.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure patients receive holistic, coordinated care.

• Provide crisis intervention services to support patients experiencing mental health emergencies, utilizing sound judgment and clinical expertise.

• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and resources in the community that may aid in their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular professional development activities, including case consultations and team meetings, to enhance your clinical skills and stay informed about emerging trends in mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.

• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and a variety of treatment modalities.

• A proven ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop actionable treatment plans collaboratively with clients.

• Experience in providing therapy to individuals and groups within diverse settings.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong, therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Adherence to professional ethics and boundaries with sound judgment in clinical practice.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications for documentation and scheduling.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in an outpatient setting delivering mental health services is strongly preferred, providing an understanding of the nuances involved in outpatient therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, typically falling between $80,000 and $100,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
