Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, as a Mental Health Counselor, your duties will include:

• Managing a caseload of clients, establishing meaningful rapport, and maintaining professional ethics and boundaries throughout the therapeutic process.

• Conducting regular check-ins with clients to assess their progress, review treatment plans, address potential challenges, and make strategic recommendations regarding discharge when appropriate.

• Collaborating with clients to develop, implement, and actively monitor person-centered treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, including detailed progress notes and treatment records, to ensure continuity of care.

• Conducting thorough intake assessments to identify client needs and establish appropriate treatment pathways.
\n
• Engaging in individual therapy sessions, providing both supportive and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client situations.

• Participating in regular supervisory meetings to review caseloads and receive feedback aimed at professional growth.

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including other healthcare providers, to ensure holistic and comprehensive client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on serving youth dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Counseling or a related field is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut is mandatory.

• Ability to meet credentialing requirements for relevant clinical settings.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience working directly with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations is preferred.
