Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to gain a comprehensive understanding of clients' unique mental health needs, challenges, and personal goals.

• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions addressing various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Lead and implement couples and family therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relationships.

• Design and implement customized treatment plans that outline specific goals and measurable outcomes tailored to individual client requirements.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients in urgent need and develop safety plans when necessary.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health disorders, coping mechanisms, and community resources available for ongoing support.

• Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome evaluations, ensuring compliance with professional standards and legal regulations.

• Practice ethical and legal standards within counseling frameworks, ensuring client confidentiality and informed consent is prioritized at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.
