Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, developing tailored therapy strategies that suit their individual circumstances.

• Implement a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Facilitate therapeutic sessions with diverse client groups — individuals, couples, families, and groups — to address various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use.

• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records following ethical and legal guidelines to ensure compliance and quality of care.

• Actively participate in ongoing professional development activities, workshops, and training sessions to remain informed about the latest mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily engage with youth and families who face challenges in accessing mental health resources. The client population includes individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal conflict, often requiring specialized approaches to achieve effective treatment outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in the state of Connecticut is mandatory.
\n
• Evidence of at least two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
\n
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport and foster trust with a diverse range of clients.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team to optimize client care.

• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) software and telehealth technologies, allowing seamless documentation and patient interaction.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling is highly preferred.

• Prior experience working in a telehealth setting is beneficial.
