You'll enjoy a structured workweek of Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotating schedule to meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, gathering detailed information regarding their severity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate deeply with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans, informed by their unique needs, goals, and preferences, and ensure a therapeutic alliance.

• Implement and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), regularly adapting techniques to suit each client’s evolving circumstances.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, outlining various treatment options and effective self-care strategies to enhance treatment adherence.
\n
• Monitor client progress meticulously throughout the treatment process, adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments to optimize outcomes.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated care, ensuring all aspects of a patient’s health and wellbeing are considered.

• Stay informed of the latest research and practices in mood disorder treatments to continuously improve service delivery.

• Maintain precise and confidential records of client sessions and treatment plans, adhering to legal standards while fostering a safe and trusting environment.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, while pursuing continual professional development activities to uphold best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The successful candidate will primarily work with adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of mood disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. Our practice fosters an inclusive atmosphere, encouraging clients from varying backgrounds to express their needs and concerns freely. Your role will not only help clients address their mental health challenges but also empower them towards long-term recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker with R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or licensed Psychologist in New York State.

• Exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with clients of diverse backgrounds.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working specifically with mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, supplemented with a competitive bonuses structure.
