This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate various client needs. Our community health clinic setting prioritizes the well-being of our patients, offering both telehealth and in-person therapy options in Edinburg, Texas. We are open to providing services seven days a week from 7 am to 10 pm, ensuring accessibility for a diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate a patient’s trauma history and outline suitable treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that specifically target trauma recovery and focus on resilience-building.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide effective therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to aid patients in processing trauma, establishing coping strategies, and enhancing healing interventions.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies and offer steadfast support to patients in need.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and useful resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain diligent and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards to support optimal patient care.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed best practices.

• Continuously stay informed of the latest research, therapies, and methodologies concerning trauma treatment.

You will primarily engage with individuals affected by trauma, offering therapeutic support that assists them in coping with their experiences and achieving improved mental health outcomes. Our diverse clientele may include both adults and children, many of whom are looking for compassionate and understanding healthcare professionals to guide them through their healing processes.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensing as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude toward clients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n
