Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - MIND Institute

Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Psychiatry Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 The department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Cook Children's Medical Center is seeking board certified/board eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to join our team. This position will primarily serve the patients of the Jane and John Justin Institute for Mind Health, collaborating with neurology, neurosurgery, neuropsychology, developmental pediatrics, psychiatry, and psychology. Responsibilities Primarily outpatient clinic work with opportunities to develop subspecialty interests caring for children and adolescents with comorbid neurologic conditions. Evaluation, ongoing treatment and follow-up, consultation, and education in a stimulating atmosphere of close collaboration with other disciplines in the care of the child. On‑call and weekend coverage with our general psychiatry pool (including inpatient). Opportunities for research and teaching as desired by the candidate. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required. American Heart Association BLS and PALS. Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date). Successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency in Pediatrics. Board certified/board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
